Lots of parents participated, and Ann and Connie were informative and entertaining. Since the couponing seminar, I've created my own coupon notebook that I take with me to the store everytime I go! I've been able to stock up on some items we use everyday, and I've even been able to get some items for FREE. I've also started saving coupons that I don't use for a "coupon box" to keep here at school. I'll have it available at parent meetings starting this month so that parents can go through the coupons and pull out the ones they might need. Thanks to Sheila Motes, Communities in Schools, DC Title I, and our friends at Redeemer Church for sponsoring such a great event. I hope we can do it again next year! It is awesome to see how one person can be a difference by being dedicated and reaching out to the community to pass on the abilities and knowledge that they have gained in their own education in hope to better the child's future.
