  • Greenville Organic Foods Organization will be donating plants/supplies for organic garden.

Success Story

One of the greatest strengths of the afterschool program is attendance/participation at our family nights. We often have 100% attendance and average 125 to 150 people. A variety of topics are covered that focus on providing families with activities and information that promote education, family relationships and health/wellness. Serving a meal at the family events helps bring about opportunities for families to bond with each other and the community.  Communities in Schools has been an important link in helping families feel comfortable in the school environment.

Site Needs

We will be hosting 8 family nights this year and would love to have:

  • Meals donated by churches, businesses, individuals or other organizations.
  • Sponsors for field trips or to bring in guest speakers would also enhance the program.
  • Volunteers for family events or one on one tutoring are also needed.
